introduction - about usThe Employers' and Manufacturers' Association (Central) is owned by its members. We are dedicated to representing our members best interests. With the strength of numbers and the influence of a broad range of ideas and experience our members are a powerful Voice in our community. We exist to make a difference. Together we can. Our members have a lot in common, regardless of their business or activity. You name it, our members do it. Members come from all sectors and include large, medium and small companies, Local and Central Government, Maori enterprises, incorporated societies, associations, charities, hospitals and educational institutes from universities to schools. Around 2,000 enterprises are direct members. There is also provision for national membership for larger enterprises. Whatever you do, we can help you. A key part of EMA is the power that our members can achieve through their common association. We are a member of Business New Zealand. On national issues we work with our allied associations throughout NZ and Business New Zealand to represent members' interests to Government and in other forums. On a regional level we speak for you. We ensure that you are aware of the issues affecting you. Every day we work with our members through the provision of a wide range of specialist Employee Relations, Employment Law and OSH services. We also offer a wide range of Seminars to help our members meet their business or enterprise goals. Our member Services mean that enterprises can either supplement their own resources or completely replace the need for those resources "in house". We are here for our members, no matter how large or small. To find out more about EMA and what we do for our members have a look at the following pages:
