Flexible Work Arrangements

This guide provides an overview of flexible working arrangements and summarises the obligations employers and employees have.

The Employment Relations (Flexible Working Arrangements) Amendment Act 2007 came into force on 1 July 2008. The purpose of this amendment (to the Employment Relations Act 2000) is to provide employees with caring responsibilities, the statutory right to request changes to their current work arrangements.
