Family Business and how to survive them
This programme is aimed specifically at family businesses – many small to medium sized businesses in New Zealand are family owned especially in certain sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, trades etc. Family businesses are often not run in the same organised way as non-family organisations. Issues like recruitment, succession planning, authority, decision making, relationships and business growth sometimes are not given the attention they require. Bringing non-family members into the business, especially at a senior level, can also lead to possible tension or discomfort.
