Belbin Team Roles Self-Perception Profile
Most of us work in teams. If we are lucky the teams have been carefully chosen and constructed to ensure a good mix of different experiences and personalities. However in many cases teams are put together at the last minute or drawn from a small pool of people. We all, however, have different styles and ‘gifts’ to bring to the team. This workshop helps us identify those and how we might best fit into a team at work.

A team leader doesn’t make a team nor can they make a team perform successfully. In this seminar you will learn what self-directed teams are, how they work, and how to create and manage them. You will analyse what your organisation stands to gain from self-directed teams and will discover how a team environment will change your job. You will also learn how to guide people through the transition to a self-directed team.

Dysfunctional Teams
When teams start to fall apart they often do so in style with major impact on both team members and the whole organisation. People leave, conflict erupts, relationships are destroyed, workplaces become toxic, reputations suffer, customers are lost and individuals lose confidence and self belief. Dysfunctional teams cost money and always impact negatively on productivity.

Leadership & High Performing Teams
Most workplaces require people to work in teams – these may be permanent teams or teams brought together for specific purposes or projects. Turning a group of people into a team requires good leadership and a high level of skill. Turning a mediocre team into a high performing team requires excellent leadership and commitment to the team. Once created, high performing teams have to be nurtured and sustained over time in order to provide maximum benefit to the organisation.

Sustain a winning team culture
There are ordinary teams, mediocre teams and winning teams. Productive workplaces need winning teams. Winning teams need to be developed, led, sustained and nurtured. Winning teams don’t just happen - they have to be built and have to be part of the way business is done. They need attention and resources. Leading a winning team requires special skills and being a member of a winning team brings with it special responsibilities.
